Ontario On The Move

Ontario on the Move is a revolutionary, provincial, charitable organization dedicated to helping people become physically active. We deliver exercise education programs and online facilitation that turn sedentary children, youth, adults and seniors on to physical activity, keep them engaged in learning safe techniques to maximize their health outcomes.

Founded in 2010 by health science researchers from York University, Ontario on the Move is the first online community designed with one specific thing in mind: to help people improve their health using exercise.

Our philosophy behind exercise is very simple: exercise is moving, and everyone can do it. Ontario on the Move was built to help individuals overcome barriers that limit their participation in exercise. For every part of the life cycle, regular exercise can greatly improve health, minimize the development and/or help to control disease, and improve psychological well being. The content and tools within Ontarioonthemove.ca help to enable engagement in exercise, and promote health and well-being.

Ontarioonthemove.ca has been created in partnership with faculty and students from York University's School of Kinesiology and Health Science. Onthemove's goal is simple...to provide the tools and support to help get all Canadians active and healthy.
